Due to International slump in
manufacturing field and price hike of raw material
considerable portion of manufacturing feature become triple
and could not compete the market. To revive the industrial
activities in the Pakistan WAPDA/FESCO announced Industrial
relief package due to which not relay sick industry was
revived but also functioning units become more viable.
The important points of this package are
as follows.

Reconnection of the permanently disconnected consumer
over six months period through easy installments.

No
recovery of fixed charges if the consumer makes the
payment of 1st installment before 30-06-2000.

No
recovery of material cost within one year period of
disconnection.
-
10%
rebate on variable charges for 25% or more increase in
KWH Consumption during current month as compared to the
KWH Consumption recorded during the corresponding month
of the proceeding year.
-
10% per
Annum rebate on advance payment.
-
Scheme
of installation of TOD meters and after wards billing on
TOD tariff particularly to Big Industries (B-3 &B-4) as
TOD Tariff is comparatively much cheaper than the
regular corresponding Industrial Tariff.

INCENTIVE FOR PERMANENTLY
DISCONNECTED CONSUMERS
-
Private permanently
disconnected consumers with age 5 years or above
having arrears up to Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five
Thousand) to pay 50% of the arrears up to
31-08-2003. The remaining amount will be waived off.

Private permanently
disconnected consumers with age 5 years or above
having arrears between Rs.25,000/-(Rupees Twenty
Five Thousand) to Rs.100,000/- (Rupees One Hundred
Thousand) to pay 70% of the arrears up to
31-08-2003. The remaining amount will be waived off.

Private permanently
disconnected consumers with age 5 years or above
having arrears more than Rs.100,000/- (Rupees One
Hundred Thousand) to pay 90% of the arrears up to
31-08-2003. The remaining 10% amount will be waived
off.

RELIEF PACKAGE FOR
AGRICULTURE TUBE WELLS

The consumer shall be
billed for fixed charges plus 67% of the total KWH
based charges.

The rest 33% of total
KWH based charges shall be apportioned equally among
the federal Govt., respective Provincial Govt. and
WAPDA.
